LEARN, DISCOVER, REFLECT
Located on the grounds of the St. Jacobs Farmers' Market, this experience is set within an 1839 log house built by Mennonite ancestors who first settled the area.Visitors can explore Mennonite and Amish history, faith, and culture through engaging speakers, step-on guides for bus groups, and scenic “back roads” driving tours designed for smaller private groups and families. The on-site video presentation, The Old Order, is available in nine languages and offers a deeper understanding of the community. Guests can extend their visit with a guided tour of the surrounding countryside, immersing themselves in the
traditions and daily life of local Mennonite communities.
A visit wouldn’t be complete without time at Canada’s largest outdoor farmers’ market, where Mennonite vendors and locally made products are abundant.
While visiting, be sure to enjoy some food that truly “schmecks gut!”
