CANADA'S LARGEST YEAR ROUND FARMERS' MARKET AND A MUST-VISIT DESTINATION FOR LARGE TOUR GROUPS

Whether you’re planning an educational student outing or a memorable group day trip, we offer an immersive experience filled with local culture, farm-fresh produce, and unique artisan goods. To ensure your group enjoys a seamless arrival with access to our convenient bus parking, we highly recommend booking in advance using our easy Group Reservation Form. Booking ahead also allows us to help with any specific accommodations or questions you may have about the market or surrounding area.

HELPFUL TIPS

  • Bus parking is conveniently located through the NORTH entrance, and our staff will be there to warmly welcome you and help guide your bus into place for an easy and smooth arrival.

  • Groups should plan to spend a minimum of 3 hours at the Farmers’ Market – longer if you are planning on being here for a meal or participating in one of the activities (see below for more details on add-on options).

  • We recommend scheduling group visits on Tuesdays and Thursdays when the market is less crowded. However, we are happy to accommodate groups on Saturdays as well.

  • Our three indoor market buildings are open year-round, featuring over 200 vendors offering fresh food, artisanal goods, and unique crafts. While there are a few farmers and vendors who are set up outside year round, the outdoor market thrives from May to October, providing an expansive selection of seasonal produce and local specialties.

  • Bus parking is located via the NORTH entrance (just off of King Street).  Staff will help gu

  • Please note that our property is large, with asphalt terrain, so we recommend that visitors come prepared for walking and dressed appropriately for the weather to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable visit.

Lunch Vouchers for Groups

Tour operators can pre-purchase valid at more than twenty food spots across the market — giving your guests the freedom to choose what they’d like to eat, while offering the option to include a meal in the overall price of the tour package. When your group arrives, our welcoming greeter will be happy to hand out the vouchers as part of your special welcome.

Discover the Mennonite Story

Right here on the market grounds, you’ll find The Mennonite Story — a charming cultural museum set inside a beautifully restored 1839 log cabin. Entry is free for all visitors, but if you’re bringing a group, there are some a few add-ons to deepen your group’s experience:

  • Old Order presentation — a short documentary shown inside a replica Old Order meeting house, offering a glimpse into Mennonite life.

  • One-hour guided country side wagon ride — enjoy a scenic journey through the St. Jacobs countryside, passing Mennonite farms and schools, with a memorable stop at Ontario’s last remaining covered bridge, the iconic Kissing Bridge.
