At our 50th Anniversary Community Breakfast, we were proud to present the Community Builders Award to sisters Lydia and Elmeda Weber — a heartfelt tribute to their 37 years of dedication to tradition, quality, and community.

What started in the 1980s with a wagon load of corn and a leap of faith has grown into a legacy of handcrafted summer sausage, cultural storytelling, and small business success. Through Kitchen Kuttings, Elmira Wagon Rides, and The Mennonite Story, the Weber Sisters have connected thousands to the heart of Mennonite heritage and rural life in Waterloo Region.

Born into a Market family and raised just down the road, Lydia and Elmeda have always led with intention — preserving tradition while building something entirely their own.

Please join us in celebrating these remarkable women and the joy, flavour, and connection they bring to our Market.
